This trailer smoker is a 500 gallon size. We use brand new pipe rather than propane tanks because we don't want to waste thousands of gallons of ground water to cut into it safely. Propane tanks also have wasted space at the ends due to the end cap domes. Pipe is easier to work with as well from a manufacturing stand point. the bottom line is you get a little larger pit for your money. We can go wider on the lids giving you easier access to do your work.
